Experience a great day out at Foremark Reservoir!

Places to Go - KiteForemark Reservoir near Milton, Leicestershire is in the heart of the growing National Forest and offers a range of attractive walks and leisure activities.

The name 'Scaddows' was chosen as the name for a new oak woodland.  It is derived from Old Norse words meaning boundary or enclosure.  Scaddows Oaks is located on the parish boundary.

The villages around Foremark were first settled by a combination of Norsemen, Angles and Danes in ancient times.

The leading 17th century family in the area were the Harpur Crews, who lived at nearby Calke Abbey and built many of the local houses in Ticknall for their estate workers.

Been to Thornton, Linacre or Foremark recently? We'd love to hear your views on them and and have put together a short survey to collect them.
