Llyn Clywedog reservoir lies in the heart of the Cambrian Mountains and close to the source of the River Severn.

Clywedog is a long, twisting reservoir with a huge, mass concrete dam – the tallest in Britain.  As you drive, walk or cycle around the reservoir you’ll discover steep, narrow inlets cutting into the hillside.

Boardwalks zig-zag their way through swampy woodland while peninsulas reach out into the reservoir like outstretched fingers.
